Michael Olds has been working with computers for more than twenty years. When he was twelve years old, his parents purchased their first home computer, a Packard-Bell 386SX.  Within one week, to his mother’s dismay, Michael had disassembled the computer to figure out how it worked. He put it back together, but the computer no longer worked as designed, so his parents bought another, and Michael took that one apart, too. Since then, Michael has custom-built every computer his parents have ever owned.

 

As a teenager, Michael co-founded Moban Computers in Berkley, Michigan in 1998, building over one hundred custom computers based on client specifications, designing and installing networks and integrating existing equipment and software for small businesses, establishing system security and data storage protocols, designing and coding websites, and providing on-site troubleshooting and user training.

 

Michael has AutoCAD experience in numerous contexts, including architecture, manufacturing, and local government, and previously served as a teaching assistant for AutoCAD at Oakland Technical Center in Royal Oak, Michigan. He has also been employed as a network administrator and web designer. More recently, Michael was a field support technician at many secure military locations, resolving hardware/software issues on a network with over 750,000 users. His extensive experience in assorted computing environments of all sizes makes him ideally suited to address your unique technological needs.

 

Today, Michael lives in Williamsburg, Virginia with his wife, three children, and dog.
